The Challenge:
Close follow up of sponsorship movement between the hotels of the series, to prevent any unlawful situations.
Verify the situations of the applicants to work in the hotel before accepting their requests.
The Action:
The "Muqeem" service provided direct link between the HR department in the InterContinental Hotel and the Passports Department, and opened the way to get concise information about any applicant who applies to work through the number of his Residence.
The Result:
The regularity of the movements of the resident employees who work in the three hotels of the series, and continuously verifying that the worker's sponsorship is moved once he is moved to another hotel, as the ownerships of the hotels differ.
The InterContinental Al-Madinah series avoids employing persons who are reported to be escapees or those who do not have regular residence.
A Hint:In Al-Elm company.. the Projects and Business Development Department always seeks to design any service in a way that achieves the highest possible return from the "Service" to the beneficiary, and the department exerts accumulative efforts starting from the main idea of the service, through the feasibility studies and technical and technological studies, reaching the final service at the end.
But… Despite all the efforts exerted by the Services development team to form the items of the service, the end user is the one who shows the effectiveness of the service. And in many cases, the degree of benefit differs according to the beneficiary.
The property of inquiry about "the sponsor" might look an additional thing in some establishments (simply as they know that they are the sponsor of residents who work in it). But the InterContinental hotels has a "Special" case with this property.
The Story:Mr. Faisal Abdu—Rahim Seet is the HR Assistant in InterContinental AlMadinah, and he is one of thousands of the administrative persons whose concept of the procedures of the Passports Directorate that are related to residents has changed by the "Muqeem" service.
Mr. Faisal uses terminology from the hotels dictionary to describe the "Muqeem" service as a "usual and distinguished guest" and says: This service provided so much to the InterContinental Hotels that employs more than 500 resident employees, and we have noticed the great difference that this service has made although we did not participate in it until lately.
Mr. Seet says: The InterContinental hotels do not belong to only one owner, but the owners differ according to the hotel. On another hand, we usually need to move some employees from one hotel to another, thus we need to transfer their sponsorship to the new owner, so that we do not violate the rules. Before the Muqeem service, we used to suffer much to control this process, and making sure that all employees in every hotel are under the sponsorship of that specific hotel where they work, and this process used to be done via traditional methods, by requesting to Print the data of all the three employees (who are more than 500 resident employees) and making sure that the transfer process of the sponsorship is done. But after we participated in "Muqeem", the service notifies us of the transfer of sponsorship once this is done.
About new employees, Mr. Faisal Says: No one likes to employ someone who goes against the rules, and the Muqeem service provided us with the inquiry property that makes us ask about some general information about any resident who applies to work in one of our hotels… It is correct that the information is short and general, but it is enough to make us avoid many troubles that we would have faced. The service gave us the chance to discover that some of the applicants were registered as "Escapees" from work, while one of them was an illegal resident.
The HR Assistant in InterContinental AlMadinah closes his story saying: The solutions the "Yaqeen" service provides became (or will become) a default part of the work of any HR department in the Kingdom.
